Will robots control the planet?

Yes - One day, sooner or later, our robots will possess a form of intelligence which will allow them to reason for themselves and, therefore, to rebel.

No - We don't even know if such technological advancement is possible. At the moment, we are not even able to build a robot that would have the intelligence of a ... bee!

22 years ago, in 1996, my father brought home a computer and plugged in a modem. It was THE FUTURE. The thing was rowing to the death, we used floppy disks and it took 12 years to bring up a web page, but it was the FUTURE. Now, 22 years later, therefore, robots are able to operate on humans with an open heart. Imagine what it will be like in 30 years. They will dominate us.

If the most pessimists speak of a domination of the machine over man from the middle of the 21st century and that the positives rather see a cohabitation where humans could be physically improved by cybernetics, all agree to conclude that the economy will experience its third great revolution after the agricultural and industrial revolutions. While the first has allowed humanity to double its productivity in a millennium and the second has done the same in just 15 years, the robotic revolution will double productivity in a matter of months.

1. We will never manage to frame the legislation around robots
The ethical issues are too big and the robots cannot be considered legally responsible. This criminal irresponsibility which we can never fight is the first argument to think that the robots will destroy us all: they can do whatever they want without ever being held responsible.

2. Robots are supplanting us in the arts
In 2016, researchers familiarized a robot with all of Rembrandt's work. What did he do ? He painted a picture in the manner of Rembrandt. And all the experts agree that the painting could have been painted by the Flemish master and that if we were not today able to precisely date the pigments used and the wear of the paintings, it would have quite may have been displayed by mistake in a museum. Not only do robots imitate, but they know how to innovate and create.

3. Sex robots lower our birth rate
In Japan, the number one market for sex robots, the sexual activity of young people is in free fall, with more than 40% of those under 30 reporting that they find sex uninteresting. The idea is not to proselytize sexually, but let's think for two seconds: without sex, no reproduction, and therefore a programmed extinction of mankind. Moreover, if we rely on robots to satisfy our sexual desires, they will have an absolutely insane hold on us.

4. In 20 years, half of workers will be robots
This is the realistic projection shared by many researchers, if only for Japan. Which means that the future lifeblood of the planet will be robots. Now, who dominates the world, if not those who produce its wealth? Do you really think the robots are going to agree to work for us without getting anything in return?

5. It is estimated that in 30 years, robots will have an IQ of 10,000
I don't know if you realize, but Einstein, he was around 160 and it was already miraculous. So imagine that we're going to make artificial intelligences 62 times smarter than Einstein. I don't think they'll be keen to chat with us for long. In any case, no more than we enjoy chatting with a mouse, for example, even though our IQ difference is much smaller.

6. They are discussing the future of the world. Without us.
In 2016, Vladimir and Estragon (no doubt they were expecting Godot), were encouraged to discuss by their creators, engineers at Google. Their discussion was broadcast live on YouTube to show the world the advancement of artificial intelligence technology. Soon enough, Vladimir and Estragon began to discuss the meaning of life, the future of the world, and the difficulty of living as a robot among humans. If they meet Sophia, we know how it's all going to end.

7. They do everything so that we do not understand them
In 2016, scientists working for Facebook's artificial intelligence department had the good idea to train two robots to chat with each other to see if they could learn to haggle. There was talk of bartering, probably I'll give you 17 resistors against a motherboard, things like that. After half an hour, the robots had invented a new, indecipherable language to chat without being observed. Engineers took weeks to decipher it, after pressing the off button on both robots.
